Relationship Therapy

Every relationship experiences seasons of distance, miscommunication and friction. When couples find themselves stuck in repetitive arguments or feeling emotionally disconnected, it is rarely due to lack of love. More often, it is a sign that the tools they are using to communicate are no longer serving them. To bridge the gap, I utilize Gottman Method Couples Therapy, a highly structured and researched backed framework designed to help couples rebuild trust, manage conflict and restore deep intimacy.

Developed by Drs. John and Julie Gottman, over four decades of rigorous scientific study with thousands of couples, this approach moves past generic advice. Instead, it focuses on the practical, day to day interactions that determine relationship health. The method is grounded in the Sound Relationship House Theory, which outlines nine essential components of a thriving partnership.

In our sessions, we focus on three core areas:

Managing Conflict Effectively: Conflict is a natural part of any relationship, but how it is handled matters. We will work to identify and eliminate destructive communication patterns- such as criticism, defensiveness, contempt and stonewalling. You will learn how to deescalate arguments, discuss gridlocked issues without causing hurt, and transition from fighting to collaborative problem solving.

Deepening Emotional Connection: True intimacy requires a deep understanding of your partner’s inner world. The Gottman Method teaches couples how to build “Love Maps”-a psychological map of each other’s history, stresses, joys and dreams. By learning to recognize and respond to each other’s everyday bids for connection, you can foster profound emotional security.

Creating Shared Meaning
: Beyond resolving fights, a resilient relationship is built on shared goals, values and rituals. We will work on alignment, ensuring both partners feel respected, supported and structurally connected as you build a life together.

Whether you are navigating major life transitions, healing from broken trust, or simply looking to revitalize your bond, this approach provides a clear roadmap. The process is collaborative, compassionate and focused on tangible skills you can practice outside the therapy room. Together, we will work to replace old, frustrating habits with new patterns of appreciation, vulnerability and mutual respect, allowing your relationship to thrive for the long term.
